I don't think it can be said too many times. You did an awesome job on the web-site! Such a great idea not only for the reunion, but to allow everyone to get in touch beforehand and catch up. It's been great catching up with many of you and I'm looking forward to catching up with the rest.

Cheers!

Hi everyone! Y'all are kind for the feedback. As of Friday, July 25 we have 74 classmates who have registered and over 675 hits to the site. (Hits are calculated by unique IP addresses within a 24 hour span. So if you log in a few times in one day, it only counts as one hit.)
Thanks to Allison Lupton for agreeing to search for some classmates. If you have some free time and want to have a block of names to search, just click on "HELP US FIND FOLKS" and email me so I can assign you a block of names.
I'll post some more info about some options we have for the reunion. I've talked with Class of '88 about the reunion they just had and got some great feedback to help make ours a success.
Still taking any and all input, so speak now if you have an opinion! :)

Heard from several of you and got some great feedback. I also talked with Class of '88 who did three events and said it was a bit much (but we can do whatever we want, just letting you know the input).

Some potential drawbacks for a boat cruise:
Only two hours--we board about 6:30, it leaves about 7, back about 9 and we have to get off the boat. As someone put it "Heck, graduation took longer than that!"
It leaves the dock--if for whatever reason (late babysitter, can't park, traffic, etc.) you miss the boat, well then you miss the boat...
Some are not as fond of the water as others--"Sallie, I am scared to DEATH to get on a boat, please don't have it on a cruise."
Financially, it's a HUGE downpayment and we have to put that down before they will hold any date for us.
Weather concerns--if it rains that day, the boat will be wet or if it rains that evening we will all be down below in a very small space.

All of that being said, I am leaning toward not doing a boat cruise. If a lot of people really have their heart set on doing that, we can look into it as an option still, but I think it might be safer to look for a venue that will not have the above mentioned pitfalls.

Any feedback? (You can send it to me on email if you don't want to post here.) Sallie B.

Weekly Update!
We've had 897 hits to the site and 78 classmates have registered!

I'll be traveling from Monday, August 4 thru Sunday, August 10. I'll have my blackberry and laptop so I should be able to answer emails, but it might be delayed a little due to travel.

Please if you want to take the survey/poll, please do so by August 15 as we'll need to start forming groups to plan events because places fill up a year out in Charleston (unless we want to just meet at the Wappoo Cut boat landing...) :)

Keep spreading the word, I'm telling anyone who went to JIHS around the same time as we did because you never know who keeps in touch!

Have a great weekend y'all!
