Wow, it's been a while. Much has happened! I've been married to my best friend for eleven years! Just completed my goal and finished law school with a BANG! Studying for the bar now -February 23, 24, 25th- so life is over for a little while-but all is well!
No children- just lots of "spoiled-rotten" nieces and nephews.
Right before I completed my B.A. at the College of Charleston, I began working at Charleston County Grants Administration where I eventually became a Contracts Manager for grant funds. I began law school in 2005 part-time.
Working during the day and going to school at night. One day, I decided that I'd had enough and that I wanted to finish up Charleston Law in less than 4 years.
So, after discussing with my awesome, supportive, James Island "homegrown" husband, I made a decision to leave Charleston County after 8 years to finish up law school full time! Best decision that I could have made!
I graduated with my Juris Doctor on December 14, 2008- I plan to take the bar in February, work for a little while and head to DC to George Washington Law to get an L.L.M. in Government & Procurement Law.
From there, I plan to work on the HILL for a while and complete my last dream with 2 partners/law school classmates to open 3 law practices in the State of South Carolina with my partners, Marshall Weaver & Perry Pollard--So look out for Brown, Pollard, & Weaver, LLC!
Life has been great! I have no complaints! I had some rough times but it was those rough times that built character, fortitude and unshakable integrity and made me the woman I am today! So because of that, I've dedicated my life to public service and helping others, Pro Bono Populi!
I see often and travel with my Sister Circle- Hopey, Peachy, Janice, Candice, Treasy, Charlene, and Tiffany!
I'm convinced that we will remain friends in this life and in the next!
